AAPM&R’s practice guidance development and clinical practice guideline review process is managed by the Evidence, Quality and Performance Committee (EQPC), and Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) Committee. The EQPC translates their systematic environment scans and evidence reviews into the development of Specialty Practice Guidance statements. The CPG Committee reviews, endorses and advocates for key guidelines developed by other organizations that are critical to the field of PM&R. Both Committees work to evaluate the current evidence base for physiatry, define standards/best practices and disseminate this information to advance the clinical guidance for the specialty.
