• No Surprises Act Requirements: Good Faith Estimates for Uninsured and Self-Pay Patients
  • During this webinar on June 20, we discussed statutory and regulatory requirements for furnishing good faith estimates for uninsured and self-pay patients. This session also provides information on a new Patient-Provider Dispute Resolution process that is available for patients who are billed substantially more than the expected charges on the GFE. We also offer a preview of the impending regulations for the No Surprises Act requirement to provide GFEs to all commercially insured patients for scheduled services and upon request.

• Billing Brilliance: How PM&R Physicians Can Navigate Inpatient Billing Changes with Ease
  • This is a crash course on the major changes to inpatient and SNF evaluation and management coding which took effect January 1, 2023.  The session reviewed what has changed in the code descriptors and how to select the appropriate codes. It also showed to modify documentation to comply with the new documentation requirements.

  • AAPM&R reviewed the 2021 reporting requirements and explained how you can improve your score within each of the four performance categories: Quality, Improvement Activities, Promoting Interoperability and Cost.
