The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has called upon medical specialty societies, including AAPM&R, to help disseminate important information and resources about the COVID-19 vaccines to keep physicians actively informed. Keep up-to-date with the CDC's vaccine guidance statements.

After Receiving the Vaccine:

• It is critical that physicians continue to ensure they practice and encourage their patients to wear masks, physical distance and wash hands until a critical mass of the population is vaccinated.
• The CDC strongly recommends all healthcare workers and vaccinated individuals register with the v-safe program. V-safe is a smartphone-based tool that uses text messaging and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins after you receive a COVID-19 vaccination. Through v-safe, you can quickly tell CDC if you have any side effects after getting the COVID-19 vaccine. CDC is also using v-safe to track pregnant women who have received the vaccine.
