Residents and New Grads: Network with Faculty from Across the Country in April
Plan to join us for a virtual conference tailored for you on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 9 am-2:30 pm (CT). Expert faculty from across the country will discuss resume-building strategies, contract negotiation, managing personal finances, starting a private practice, marketing and social media ideas, and more. We’re also hosting a virtual happy hour before the conference begins, so that faculty and participants can get to know each other before diving in. Don’t miss out—it’s FREE for AAPM&R members!
Who Should Attend?
Physiatrists-in-training (in residency or in fellowship) and newly graduated physiatrists (1-3 years post-training).
What's It About?
This unique virtual conference is intended to help physiatrists in-training and newly graduated physiatrists navigate their career paths.
Education
We’ll touch upon topics that are typically not taught in residency, including resume-building strategies, job search advice, interview techniques, contract negotiations and managing personal finances. We will also discuss fellowship and non-fellowship career options, as well as private practice, academic and non-clinical career options.
Networking
Prior to the Saturday session, there will be a networking event taking place on Thursday, April 21 from 7-8pm Central Time. Themed The Power of Networking, this session is meant to be a low-key opportunity to network with peers, while hearing from experienced members provide tips on how to build your network, even in the virtual environment. This is included with the course registration.
Panel Q&A
At the end of the session, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions to an esteemed panel of physiatrists from different practice settings, including private practice, academics, hospital-based practice, VA, medical-legal and non-medical.
Please join AAPM&R for this special affair, intended to help you make some of the most important decisions of your career.
