  • Kathleen Bell, MD, FAAPMR, chair of PM&R at UT Southwestern Medical Center and AAPM&R Past President, was recently quoted in a The New York Times article discussing one of her patients—a teenager who experienced long COVID symptoms. Read more.
  • Michael Fredericson, MD, FAAPMR, professor of orthopaedic surgery and the head physician for Stanford’s track and field team, traveled to Tokyo for the Summer Olympics where he cared for the athletes and officials, including treating injuries, addressing general medical concerns and evaluating people for COVID-19. Read more.
  • Oluseun Olufade, MD, FAAPMR, addresses how muscle mass changes as we age as well as exercise recommendations to maintain and gain muscle mass. Read more.
  • Stephanie Tow, MD, FAAPMR, director of the adaptive sports medicine program at UT Southwestern, served as a volunteer physician at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and discussed her experience. Read more.
