  • Paul Abend, DO, founder, medical director, and president of Consultants in Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine, is receiving the honor of being published in "The Leading Physicians of the World," a subsidiary of the International Association of Healthcare Professionals.   • James Crew, MD, chair of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, discusses a groundbreaking stem cell clinical trial for managing spinal cord injuries. Read more.

  • Shane Drakes, MD, physiatrist at the Wellness Clinic, recently published his article, "Treating Neck Pain," in Barbados TodayRead more.

  • Brian Greenwald, MD, and his team at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, treated comedian Tracy Morgan after his car accident and traumatic brain injury 2 years ago. Last month, Morgan brought Dr. Greenwald and his team on stage during his comedy act at Caroline's Broadway, to thank them for saving his life. Take a look at a few pictures from the event!

  • David Moorthi, MD, recently joined St. Joseph's Physicians Spine Care at Northeast Medical Center as its new interventional spine specialist. Congratulations, Dr. Moorthi! Read more.

  • Jonathan Myers, MD, medical director of rehabilitation at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center, and his rehabilitation team are climbing Mount Borah in Idaho to raise awareness regarding balance rehabilitation and the funding necessary to bring a Neurocom Balance Master System to the Magic Valley. Dr. Myers is a spinal cord injury survivor and uses his personal experience to better relate to his patients. Read more.

  • Jeff Pavell, DO, physiatrist and president of Haworth Road Runners Association, played a central role in reviving a healthy tradition, the Haworth 5K. This new tradition is a great opportunity to promote health in the nearby communities and give kids the motivation to stay active. Read more.

  • Preeti Raghavan, MD, director of motor recovery research at Rusk Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Medical Center, discusses stroke rehabilitation in a video featured in an article on Wall Street Journal's website, “How Telemedicine Is Transforming Health Care.” Dr. Raghavan and her colleagues created a device with a video game built in that aims to keep stroke patients engaged and motivated while doing a therapeutic exercise. Read more.
