Check Your Email: PM&R Compensation Survey Now Available

Your Academy is pleased to support a PM&R-specific compensation study! The scope of the survey is to collect and report 2016 market compensation and productivity benchmarks for physiatrists, with detailed information on practice characteristics, physician demographics, clinical activities, income levels, compensation plan structure, and benefits. AAPM&R is working with ECG Management Consultants, an independent and neutral third-party who will be conducting the survey.

All physiatrists received an email from AAPM&R on Friday, May 19, which included a source ID. For the security of all physiatrists' compensation data, your unique source ID and email address are required to participate in the survey. Legislation Introduced to Alleviate Impact of Conversion Factor Cut for 2021

Last month, two bills were introduced in the House proposing solutions to the estimated 10.6% Physician Fee Schedule conversion factor cut expected to go into effect January 1, 2021.  The bills offer some relief to the cut, but do not reflect a comprehensive or long-term solution.  AAPM&R has therefore chosen to remain neutral regarding these bills. 

Your Academy continues to advocate for a permanent solution to the conversion factor cut while maintaining the important payment increases to office and outpatient evaluation and management services.
