Annaswamy NSF ReceptionOn February 15, 2017, AAPM&R member Thiru M. Annaswamy, MD, presented at the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Coalition for National Science Funding (CNSF)'s reception, The Arc of Science: Research to Results.

The Arc of Science: Research to Results featured NSF-funded researchers whose work provides insights, products, or services to American citizens, businesses, and government.

Dr. Annaswamy presented as part of a team showcasing their research below:

3D Immersive Tele-Rehabilitation
PI: Dr. B. Prabhakaran, University of Texas at Dallas
Community Partner: Dallas Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center

With advanced 3D modeling, virtual and mixed reality, and networking technologies, Dr. Prabhkaran and his team have developed remote physical therapy options, allowing veterans to receive necessary care even when a physical therapist can’t be on site. Experience the next generation of veterans’ care as both doctor and patient.
